General
General questions about the use of the Craft Robo Pro.
Q.1 What weight of cardstock can be cut with the CR Pro?
It depends which blade is used, the density and material the cardstock is made from. I have successfully cut various types of cardstock up to 330gsm, including hammered card and pearlescent card. Thicker card is best cut using the 1.5mm blades, which are available from Graphtec as an optional extra. You will also need the 1.5mm blade holder, available at extra cost.
Q.2 Can Bazzill cardstock be cut with the CR Pro?
100% yes! The CR Pro cuts Bazzill cardstock easily in one pass. I use the 0.9mm blade (supplied with the machine) with a Force setting of 22-24 and Speed 30.
Q.3 Can I use the CR Pro to emboss?
Officially no. However, there are third-party tools available to purchase online. I have never tried them myself and I have read varying reports of their usefulness.
Q.4 Can the CR Pro cut chipboard as used in scrapbooking?
Officially no. There are online stores selling heavy duty blades that claim to be able to cut (thin) chipboard. I have not tried them so cannot say whether or not they work.
Q.5 Can the CR Pro cut 12x12 paper and card?
Yes, but you will need to buy or make a suitable carrier sheet as the A3 carrier sheet provided with the machine is not quite wide enough for 12x12.
Q.6 Can I use my Craft Robo A4 carrier sheets with the CR Pro?
Yes you can. You just need to adjust the CR Pro media feeder rollers to the correct size.
Q.7 Can I use the pen holder provided with the Craft Robo with the CR Pro?
Yes you can.

Software
Questions and answers about software the can be used with the Craft Robo machines.
Q.1 Which software is compatible with the Craft Robo Pro?
The Craft Robo Pro comes with Graphtec's Robo Master Pro software. Also available from Graphtec is Design Master Pro, which costs around £150 plus VAT in the UK. Other compatible commercial software includes Funtime Scrapbooking 2009 and Adobe Illustrator CS2 and CS3 (I am not sure if the current Cutting Master software plugin is compatible with CS4). An excellent free software application is called Inkscape, although it is not possible - as far as I know - to cut directly from within the software. There are lots of excellent tutorials over at UKScrappers.
Q.2 Which software do you recommend?
I use Adobe Illustrator and Funtime Scrapbooking 2009.
